Feb. 5, 2016 - VTV Invites Community to Tour New Studio

(Roosevelt, UT)—Feb. 5, 2016

On Tuesday, February 16, VTV Channel 6 will celebrate the opening of its new building at 2276 W Hwy 40 in Vernal, which houses a brand new, cutting-edge television studio. The community is invited to share in the celebration & tour the facility at a public open house from 1 to 4 PM. Those who attend will get the opportunity to see what takes place behind the cameras, meet the VTV staff, and enjoy light refreshments. 

VTV Channel 6 provides local video content & production services to the Uintah Basin, as well as commercial advertising solutions. The new building, which includes an 1100-square-foot television studio, state-of-the-art editing equipment, and green screen capabilities, will bring greater opportunities for the company to enhance their services, said VTV.

The studio shares an adjoining building with VTV’s parent company, STRATA Networks. The space occupied by STRATA contains primarily inventory storage and office spaces for STRATA personnel, including sales, construction, and technical support staff, to better serve customers in the Vernal area. STRATA product and services will not be sold out of this location.  STRATA customers are encouraged to continue visiting STRATA’s recently expanded store located in the Vernal Towne shopping center next to Dickey’s and Sally’s Beauty Supply.

Aug. 20, 2015 - VTV to Broadcast Every Home Football Game This Fall

(Roosevelt, UT)—Aug. 20, 2015

VTV Channel 6 is expanding their high school sports coverage this year with plans to broadcast every home football game for local high schools. Uintah Basin football fans will be able to catch HD coverage of a total of 19 football games this fall, more than doubling the amount of broadcasted games last year. 

Each week will consist of a “Game of the Week” which will be aired live on VTV channels 6 & 706 in addition to online at vtvchannel6.com. Additional games played during the same week will be available to watch online only. For a coverage schedule announcing Games of the Week, visit VTV’s website. 

Game coverage kicked off last Friday with Duchesne & Altamont High Schools competing against Milford and American Leadership Academy. Broadcasts will continue this Friday with Uintah’s game against Pine View. In addition to live broadcasts, future viewing will also be available through web archives and DVD purchase.

April 20, 2015 - VTV to Break Ground for New Television Studio

(Roosevelt, UT)—April. 20, 2015

VTV Channel 6 will be celebrating the construction of their new television studio with a groundbreaking ceremony held on Friday, April 24 at 10 AM. The ceremony will be held at the site of their new location at 1420 South 2350 West in Vernal. City representatives, county officials, and the public are all welcome to join the celebration. 

The building will house a new cutting-edge television studio for VTV Channel 6, as well as renovated corporate offices occupied by STRATA Networks in the adjacent building.

The program will include a welcome from Dale Allred, VTV Video Services Coordinator, as well as remarks from Bruce Todd, CEO/General Manager of STRATA Networks. Opening remarks will be followed by a shovel ceremony and refreshments to conclude the event.

VTV will broadcast two local football playoff games Saturday, November 1st. Union High School’s game against North Sanpete will be aired live on VTV channels 6 and 706, as well as online at www.strata.tv. Also streaming live on STRATA’s WEBVu service will be the Duchesne vs. Kanab football game. Coverage for both games will begin at 1 PM.

July 17, 2013 - Root Sports Announces 2013 Mountain West Football Schedule

(Denver, Colorado)—July 17, 2013

Network adds 10 Mountain West matchups to extensive college football lineup

ROOT SPORTS™ and the Mountain West Conference announced today that the network will televise 10 live MW football games in 2013. This will mark ROOT SPORTS’ inaugural season as the official regional television partner of the Mountain West, and exemplifies the network’s commitment to providing superior college sports coverage.

The Mountain West is the home of several long-running and intense rivalries. Notable traditional matchups on the ROOT SPORTS’ 2013 telecast schedule include the Rio Grande Rivalry between New Mexico State and New Mexico (October 5), and the Border War battle for the Bronze Boot between Colorado State and Wyoming (October 19). All matchups will be produced in high definition and, in the Rocky Mountain and Northwest territories, will be available exclusively on ROOT SPORTS.

Coverage begins on August 31, with one of the nation’s top teams in rushing offense, Air Force, hosting Colgate live from Falcon Stadium in Colorado Springs, Colo.

The Mountain West sent five teams to postseason bowl games in 2012, and welcomes two new members this season in San Jose State and Utah State. In addition to those schools, the conference is comprised of Air Force, Boise State, Colorado State, Fresno State, Hawai‘i, Nevada, New Mexico, San Diego State, UNLV and Wyoming.
